Custom Scrapbooks
Are you ready to get started? For guidelines on what I need from you before we begin, please take a moment to read about how our process works.
Materials: We use archival Epson paper, and can print or resize your special pictures. It works to have one print on some pages and a dozen or more small images on others.
Pictures can be submitted as originals, digital files, slides or negatives. Orginials can be used or scanned...
Pricing: The price of your custom scrapbook is determined by two factors: supplies at cost and time at $10 per hour. This averages out to about $7-9 per page. At the beginning of the project, I will request a deposit to cover estimated materials ($2 per estimated number of pages). At the end of the project, I will provide a detailed invoice. Payments may be made in cash, by check, or via Pay Pal.
Here's an example of how the cost of my sister's two travel albums broke down:
- Supplies: two travel albums with two covers and 95 pages averaged $2.00 a page for supplies.
- Time: The average time (I have actually measured this) is 24.6 minutes per page which comes to $4.18 in labor.
I consider custom scrapbooking an avocation as well as a vocation and do it out of love for the art. I am honored to be brought into your family enough to preserve your memories and help you tell your story.
Turnaround: I will let you know my availability when we begin the project. Once I begin the creative process, I work 4-6 hours a day, so 20 pages takes about 2 days (3 if I am printing and editing the images, too). Depending on whether I'm working on other projects, the project could take a couple of weeks. All efforts will be made to guarantee your "needed by" date. |
